what are the advantages to running a virtual machine like ubuntu?also do i need alot of processing power?i only have like 2.5 gh processor...
Some programs that are on Ubuntu are not on Windows/Mac. Running an OS virtually will allow you to run those programs, without having to set up separate partitions on your computer to actually install it.
